Location: West End, Tortola

Today we woke up bright and early at 5:30. With no time to spare, we were on the dock by 6:00 ready for a hike up Spyglass Hill on Norman Island. We were on the move! We were asked to pick up two rocks, one ugly and one pretty rock that we found on the trail on the way — with no context given. When we reached the top of Spyglass, we did an exercise where we shared all of the new, positive qualities that we gained on the trip, and we kept the rock to represent us bringing those qualities home. However, our ugly rock represented a bad habit or quality that we recognized in ourselves. We threw that rock down Spyglass Hill to stay in the British Virgin Islands forever. We headed back down the hill and had breakfast together for the last time. Of course, it wouldn’t be an Ewak breakfast without breaking or losing a plate, bowl, or utensil. I broke a bowl this morning… We quickly scurried to our cabins and began cleaning every visible surface. When we all got our rooms checked and approved, we went underway back to where it all began. We arrived at West End and began unpacking all the tools that were on board, and then some of us began cleaning dinghies. We finished the night with a barbecue at Omar’s and a dock talk with Mike. Until next time, BVI!
