Location: The Bight, Norman Island

Hello, hello parents, friends, and others. It’s day 20!!!!!!!!!! That is INSANE. It felt like just yesterday we were dying at the grueling swim test. Today, we woke up to the Barbie Girl song as we were all soooo excited to watch the new Barbie movie. We ate a wonderful breakfast of eggs and pancakes made by our chefs, Nicole and Natalia. The counselors announced today was water sports day! We all got into our bathing suits and split up into three groups of four. The first group was Melina, Sadie, Natalia, and Mariana. The second group was Rory, Nicole, Sophia, and me.

Finally, the third group was Olivia, Emma, Luke, and Nate. Almost everyone did knee boarding, and almost all got up and riding! Melina and some others tried water skiing but failed. Also, Rory attempted wakeboarding and got up for 3 seconds. On the ride back, Lindsey, our counselor, went wild as we flew on the dinghy at what felt like 100 mph. I had a couple of moments where I thought it was over for me and I was going to be blasted into the sea. Even in all my fear, it was SO much fun!! After we all attempted it, we ate mushy Mac and Cheese and went underway to a new location.

On the ride, people napped, danced, sang, and chilled. When we got there, we were shocked at how crowded the location got since we were last there at the beginning of the trip. It was due to the recent holiday, Christmas in July, where everyone gets on their boats and parties. We jumped in the water and stayed in for way longer than normal because it was our last swim 😢😭. After swimming, we ate broccoli and cheese pasta soup, which, for me, sounded questionable, but it was surprisingly delicious 😋. After dinner, we stayed singing and conversing about our trip. I have been exposed to so much music on this trip, from country to rap to trumpet solos and, of course, an overwhelming amount of Taylor Swift. This trip has been an incredible journey. I have grown and learned so much. Although it is unlikely we will all be in the same place again, every one of your children holds a special place in my heart.

To my parents: I can’t wait to see you, but I still have no idea what time my flight is 🤷‍♀️
