Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island

Hey Everyone

While those on the ship know me as Wil, you might know me as the expert hot dog maker, death diver, or something else. Mom, I must say, I have been very active in my sleep. My buddies Rishi and Aditya woke up to me throwing random things off the bed and then returning back to sleep. I don’t know why, but the sleep activities have been wild.

Today was a fun day. Starting in Marina Cay, we traveled to Musk Melon. Now, I’m not saying our previous adventures haven’t been fun, but today was a day for wakeboarding, knee boarding, and water skiing. All this, of course, happened after a delicious breakfast. Thanks to our chefs Rhylee and Trisha, we enjoyed some delicious pancakes this morning. When we finally got to the water, It got wild! Each one of us tried it, and we went for it. Pretty much every one of us ended up face-planting on the water. Don’t worry, though, we were all okay. I am especially impressed by Manola and Talula’s efforts. They didn’t get it at first, but by the end, they were “grippin n’ rippin” (Davis, 2023). Overall, we all had a blast and headed back to the boat for some delicious ramen and hot sauce making. The sauce was hot. I took a small bite of a habanero and am still getting through it.

However, I had to try it once in my life. After lunch, those who wanted could return to wakeboarding, but I snorkeled with Lindsey and Margaux. We saw an absolute monster of a lobster. Probably three times the size of the biggest lobster I’ve ever seen. After this, Davis and I went sailing. Davis went and got a Zest (a small single-rider sailboat), though we made it work with 2. He and I went out and had a very nice talk about our lives. He is a cool dude. Once we got back, Samira, Edie, and I went penguin diving. It is basically a dive without hands. This was so much fun, and we just played around in the water. I will say for the first time that Samira is a spectacular penguin diver.

We ended the night with our ocean showers and dinner. We had chili, and it was pretty darn good. Katie asked me about being a tomato. Not quite sure what she meant by that, but… Oh, and I tried so hard to get Mimi to go water skiing again, but she had already killed it out there!

Overall, today was a great day, and I look forward to turtleing tomorrow. I can speak for everyone when I say we look forward to seeing you all in 7 days!
