Location: Sidney's, Jost van Dyke

Bello team, Today, we woke up bright and early at 6 am to our beautiful wake-up song, Shark Reggae (I highly recommend you check it out). We fueled ourselves with cereal before we all decided as a team we would go on a beautiful 6-mile hike with the rest of the fleet. We dingeyed over to Cane Garden and started the hike to the highest point in the BVI’s. Personally the hike started off a wee bit rough because the hike starts very steep. The goat she is, Augusta, offered to carry my backpack while we continued up. It took about 2 hours to get to the highest point of the mountain, where we all drank some delicious banana smoothies and enjoyed the view. It took Addy a bit longer to get up because she got lost looking at cows. But all is well because we came down the mountain to enjoy the town of Cane Garden and enjoyed lunch and some shopping. After lunch, we sailed maybe 20 minutes to a beautiful national park beach, where we participated in the fleet-wide sand-making castle competition. We all came up with the idea for our sand castle to turn Prentice into a sand mermaid. Violet and Grace picked up rocks from the ocean while Augusta and Addy worked on building the tail up. And Gigi enjoyed a nice beach nap. While we didn’t win the competition because it was rigged, we won in our hearts. Dinner was a great fleet-wide barbecue on the beautiful island of Jost Van Dyke, and we all enjoyed chicken and some delicious sides. While Addy, Grace, Prentice, Augusta, Hayes, and I went to buy some souvenirs, Violet and Gigi were tearing up the dance floor. Back on the boat, we were all knocked out because of our very long day, but we were all very excited for tomorrow’s next adventure. Love Addison
