Location: Terraba & Hot Springs
Today we woke up at 7:30 in a cabin that previously had a bat in it the night before! We had breakfast at eight consisting of the usual (rice and beans, eggs, and plantains). We left the indigenous reserve at 9:45 for a 6-hour bus ride to the hot springs. To arrive at the hot springs, we took the route called “Cerro de La Muerte,” and we also drove through a couple of clouds. We stopped for lunch about halfway into the drive, and almost froze because it’s super cold on top of a mountain. After spending a couple of hours swimming in the water and enjoying the view at the hot springs, we drove to the new hotel and got situated before dinner. For dinner, we had pizza, either Margherita or Hawaiian. Now, we’re all resting and preparing for our last adventures in Costa Rica tomorrow.
