Location: Bangkok
Today we spent the day at a kindergarten around the local neighborhood. The cutest little kids greeted us with flower bracelets and a dance that they had prepared. We played introduction games and got to see a little bit of what their typical school day consists of. Our projects today were painting the school, painting their recess area, and building some concrete structures for planting. Some members of the local community also came to help out too! The recess grounds now have hopscotch and colorful games painted on them! I loved seeing the progress right away and am excited to see the kids’ reactions tomorrow. We had the best lunch so far (mutual group agreement haha), prepared for us by the staff at the kindergarten, and shaved ice as a snack during the break. As always, the strong sense of community and kindness towards each other is so great to see – as well as be a part of.
