Today was a very spiritually uplifting day. We started bright and early at 6:30 am with wake ups and breakfast before we went to pick up about 70 elders from the Klong Toey community at the Duang Prateep Foundation. We all traveled by bus to a famous and one of the largest Buddhist temples called the Sothon Wararam Worawihan temple, where we made offerings of flowers while the elders prayed. The next stop was to another temple that incorporated Buddhism, Hinduism, and Chinese religions. It was super colorful, and we had a great time seeing everything from the giant Ganesh statue (huge pink elephant) to walking around on a floating temple in the shape of a lotus flower. We stopped at a lovely restaurant for lunch and ate another Thai meal, complete with a fresh coconut to drink. We made our last stop to a third Buddhist temple, this one completely covered in gold, and headed back to the foundation to drop off the elders. We ended the day with a pizza party and an intense ping-pong tournament back at the hotel.
