Location: The Bight, Norman Island

Everyone woke up before 7:30 am. We woke up from a rainy night. We had a briefing of the day, which explained the itinerary. We ate a hearty breakfast of Cheerios and Frosted Flakes. Next, we had a safety check where we went over the many safety features of the boat and how to keep ourselves safe and healthy. We motored to the dock to fill the fresh water tanks with water. Then, we set sail from West End, Tortola, to Norman Island. We ate sandwiches while we were underway, and the ocean was very choppy. It was a challenge trying to eat on a rocking boat, but we all enjoyed the laughs. My favorite part of the day was when we went snorkeling in the Caves of Norman Island. I saw Tarpon, Parrotfish, and colorful coral. I was in the first group of snorkelers. The second group saw an Octopus! Then, we motored to the Bite. We enjoyed our first sea showers. This was different from home as we had to get on and off the boat every time we wanted to use soap. We all felt fresh and clean and had long conversations while dinner was being made. We had a dinner consisting of Chili and rice. We then cleaned up and are about to have a GoBeyond chat shortly.
