Location: Bangkok

I’ll start with this – it has been a full day, and I am incredibly proud of our Thailand crew.  After some very early morning arrivals (1 am, and 2 am) everyone managed to make it down to breakfast at 8:30 am with a smile on their face.

The team spent the day sightseeing around Bangkok.  We started by taking the local metro train to the river to explore the city by boat.  Highlights included (1) a stop at the floating market, an unbelievable oasis of food vendors and fish feeding, (2) the Royal Barges Museum, which houses the intricately decorated gold ships used to transport the Royal family, and (3) the Royal Palace, the site of the Emerald Buddha.   We ended the day at the Siam Paragon, a massive mall structure that is one of the most popular in Bangkok.  Inside you can find Lamborginhi’s, bookstores that take up an entire floor, two-story-high movie theaters, and Thai celebrities.  We ate dinner at the Paragon and returned to the hotel in the evening to get some much-needed rest.
