Location: La Carpio
Today we once again returned to La Carpio to work with the kids and put the floor in for a local family. Some of the students worked on the floor while others played and read books with kids from around the neighborhood. After we finished our work for the day, we headed to downtown San Jose where we got to go to McDonald’s and browsed a few shops in an artisan market. People shopped and bought handmade hammocks, shirts, bags, and food. The shops were simple, and leaning to barter helped us all a lot! After the market, we headed back to our host families where we could rest up and get ready to work on the San Miguel school.
