Location: The Galapagos
We awoke this morning bright and early (4:00 A.M.!) to embark upon our long anticipated adventure to the Galapagos Islands. It began on a plane, continued by ferry, followed lastly by bus. Our arrival on the islands only portrayed a glimpse of what life is like here, but we sure got the initial feel for it. The waters are breathtaking, native species are thriving, and preservation remains key. After our hotel greeted us to cozy rooms, we set off the grab some lunch–fresh ceviche–delicious! After that, we went to the Darwin Center to witness some awesome animals and then browsed through many markets. Although our stomachs were full, we squeezed some room in for dinner after a long and tiring day. Can’t wait to see what else the islands will have in store for us!
