Location: West End, Tortola
The first day of the session has finally arrived, and we, the staff members of B & G, cannot wait to meet our new crew members. We have been very busy the past few days, restocking the boat with food, gathering gear for our projects, and preparing for what we hope to be our new shipmates best summer ever! Our boat Aquamarine is skippered by Elliot and is supported by Jamie, an EMT, and David. Today GoBeyond has students arriving from all over the world, who felt that this community service experience could enhance their lives. We hope over the next 17 days they will be able to enhance their knowledge about themselves, the community they are serving, the environment, all while cultivating new friendships and lending a helping hand to the BVIs following Irma. Thank you to the family and friends of those students who will be joining us today, as we prepare them for what will be the experience of a lifetime!
