Location: Marina Cay
We started the day bright and early at 7:00 am. Toby and Scarlet, our chefs for today, greeted us with the most perfect breakfast, scrambled eggs, and crumb cake. After we set sail to pick up fuel and water, we stopped at a cafe for a special treat! The iced coffees and mango smoothies gave us energy to continue our sail. On the way to our next destination, Will spotted a huge sea turtle! This was especially exciting for the Go Beyond Crew, Maddie, Scarlet, Leah, and me after our 4 hours of failed attempts at tagging them! West Dog is where we anchored next, there Lacey, Atlin, Liv, Toby, Maddie, Aubrey, and Cole went snorkeling. They saw a school of colorful fish, coral, and seaweed. While they were diving, Scarlet, Leah, Jonah, and I tried new friendship bracelet patterns; however, we struggled a little, but we finally got the hang of it. Mac n Cheese was for lunch with ketchup, of course! Atlin and Lacey introduced this combo to our boat, and surprisingly, we all loved it! We put back on our PFDs and went back to home base island of Tortola, where we are sadly going to say goodbye to our Quest friends, Jonah and Audrey. We quickly took ocean showers so Luke could burn our Turks Head bracelets before dinner. The last dinner before we said our goodbye to the Questies was Thanksgiving-inspired, consisting of mashed potatoes, stuffing, casserole, and chicken. It was delicious! To end the night, we listened to a motivational speaker and drank chocolate milk. Tomorrow will be another great day! Love and miss you all! Can’t wait to call you on day 12! 😁👙
