Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Hey, it’s Ava, the skipper of the day with assistance from the British Boy. Today we woke up at 7:30 am to the usual song, Catch and Release. We got ready for a hard day of work at Peter’s Island where we repaired a home from the hurricane owned by a man named Thurmond. We sand shifted, made a rock wall, made plaster, and weeded the entire yard. We spent around 3 hours on the project with the entire wall finished and most of the cracks along the face of the house filled in.
After leaving the project and returning to the boat, we enjoyed the afternoon, participating in activities such as snorkeling, swimming, boat riding, and a belly-flop competition. This was finished by a lunch of quesadillas and muffins, cooked by the chefs Charlie and Hayley.
We then had an hour sail to Norman’s Island so that tomorrow we can achieve a hike up a hill. The staff had a staff meeting, leaving us to have the boat to ourselves. Surprisingly, no one burnt the boat down with the staff commanding us to cook the supper during their absence. The food was a cheese and broccoli pasta, that looked truly horrible but thanks to the cooking skills of Charlie (WITH TRUE HELP FROM ZOE), the dish was delicious.
