Location: Manuel Antonio Park
‘Twas the fifth day of this resplendent trip in Costa Rica. Much happened, many hands were tired from all the hard work we’d been doing in La Carpio. Thus, we had a beach day. It started with an amazing and astonishing hike through Manuel Antonio Park, a natural reserve filled with monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and many more exotic animals. All of them were exceptional, and we were fortunate to lay our eyes upon such majestic creatures. We then proceeded to the beach where our biggest concern wasn’t sharks or riptides, but whether or not Pierce’s and Hamzah’s temporary hair dye would leak down their faces in the waves! After lots of splashing around and body surfing, we (almost) made a human pyramid, but it proved to be more of a challenge than we thought! The day came to an end with a delectable dinner at a local restaurant, and we went to bed getting ready for a new construction project the following day.
