Location: Dharamsala
Today we started our service work with Lha and the medical school. After a breakfast of pancakes and potatoes, we were off to meet our language partners. We were all so excited to meet each other, and though name pronunciation was a bit harder than expected, we all learned a lot about the culture of Tibet and life in Dharamsala. After saying farewell to our partners, we headed down to the Tibetan medical school to meet our class. There had been some confusion within the class, so only five people were there. We ended up playing lots of games, like telephone, concentration, and never have I ever. After saying goodbye to our new friends, we went shopping along the roads of street vendors and then came back to eat a delicious meal at a Japanese restaurant. Then we had a group conversation about the situation in Tibet and went to get a good nights sleep.
