Jessica Peters discovered at an early age that she wanted her future to involve the outdoors. Growing up in Canada, she spent her summers on canoe trips, the longest being 50 days. She has had the opportunity to backpack through New Zealand, spent time hiking the Himalaya Mountains in India, and sailed around South East Asia. Jessica has been combining her love of the outdoors and her passion for traveling by pursuing studies within the outdoor leadership field. She is currently a student at Carleton University and is counting down the days until the summer!
Liz Feldman was born and raised in Massachusetts and has always had a passion for culture, science, animals, and being part of a team. She has spent over ten years guiding groups outdoors through experiential education and wilderness therapy with a fondness for hiking, climbing, and snow camping. She feels a particular connection to Latin American culture after living in Paraguay as a Peace Corps volunteer. She loves to find ways to explore new places and people with a playful attitude. She just completed an MBA in Sustainable Systems and is eagerly looking forward to her summer with Lifeworks.
Javier Duran was born in Valparaiso, Chile and raised in Patagonia, giving him a love for wilderness. After moving to the capital of Chile for university, he got a degree in bio-resources and forestry. He’s guided trekking trips and canopy tours, and also worked on environmental projects while developing his career as an avalanche professional. When not on a Lifeworks program, he can be found guiding in the backcountry in Chile or on ski patrol in the Canadian Rockies.
Travis Baldwin has loved being outside since the day he could walk. Early on, he pursued his outdoor career by completing an Outdoor Adventure and Business diploma in 2004. Shortly after, he moved out to British Columbia and began guiding trips with mountain biking, horseback riding, fly fishing, dog sledding, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking. He loves to travel and has spent time in Mexico, Belize, El Salvador, and Cuba. Recently Travis has focused on the medical side of his career, working as a Heli rescue medic and firefighter in Ontario.
