I awoke, to a gentleman questioning our need for a steaming goblet of coca tea. I pondered this deeply, although I was not the largest fan of coca tea, It had been a long, shiver-filled night. I graciously accepted his generous offering and proceeded to consume the beverage. As a proud Indian male specimen, there is nothing I appreciate more than a blazing cup of tea on a cold winter morning. I proceeded to wake up my fellow tent-mates, Ryo and Faris. I shook them to the point of awakeness and relayed the information that our tea was ready and breakfast would be as well in fifteen minutes. My tent-mates, awoken from their state of deep and sweet slumber and proceeded to get dressed as they commented on the sequence of Uno games participated in the previous night. Eventually, we were all dressed in necessary amounts of warm clothing and ready to exit our tent. After bathing our hands (or “manos” en espanol) in steaming bowls of water, we were told by our amazing guide, William, to head over to the meal tent for breakfast. We excitedly jogged to the tent ready to demolish any sustenance placed before us. After our delicious meal, we packed up camp and began hiking. Day 3 of the hike was supposed to be the hardest, but we got through by doing something very simple, we walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked. Then we had a very delicious lunch. Then we walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked. Then we arrived at our campsite, ate a delicious dinner, took photos of the stars and fell asleep.
