10 days later, the travel still gets to us. A bus, followed by a boat, followed by another bus, a plane, and finally a bus later, we’ve finally arrived in the Capitol of Ecuador, Quito. The days have been going by so fast, feeling more like a few hours and a nap when in reality 24 hours go by. We are all exhausted after several days of community service, and exploration of the Galapagos islands. Tomorrow we go white water rafting, which should be fun, if the bugs don’t get to us first. Halfway through the trip everyone has gotten very close, and now the group feels like extended family. Funny how experiences can bind very different people in very familiar friends. Soon the trip will end, but I doubt the friendships and experiences will end with it.
