Greetings all!

Today is day eighteen of our trip. It was not jam-packed but felt nicely thought out. The day started off with some breakfast to fuel the body so we had enough power to get through a long day of swimming. The only thing planned for us was turtle tagging. Now, turtle tagging is a strategic game of hide and seek. We got up, joined the Dolphin program (Forever For Now and Good Times are the boat names), and hit the water. It was four hours of snorkeling before we got our first and only turtle. Violet and Hayes saw two large turtles throughout the swim, and Augusta and Addison saw a chill barracuda. There were also sting rays, starfish, and squid.

Addy saw the most amount of turtles out of all of us. She saw five! Even though Grace and Addy were swim buddies, Grace saw the least amount (only one 🙁 ). To see the tagging process up close is a crazy thing. We went out with Shannon (she’s in charge of the tagging) into one of her restricted areas to see if we could catch one. Going into one of the restricted areas is a huge honor and doesn’t happen often. We had Riley and Kyler wrestle with the sea beauty on the dinghy to get the right pictures and measurements to be put into the database. He definitely was thinking to himself after everything was done “What in the world happened there?” It was definitely a day to remember.

For lunch, we had a visitor (Dave, the media guy) to eat our scrumptious Mac and cheese prepared for us by the chefs yet again: Addy and Grace. We hung out and took desperately needed naps for a while (swimming takes us out) before dinner was underway. We again had a visitor for that. Mexican night was joined by Under Pressure Aidan. Again, it was scrumptious. With a bit of a long clean up we followed dinner with anklet making. Prentice showed off his skills and made a necklace as well. To end the night, we watched a movie. Movie of choice? Grown-ups! It was definitely a chill and relaxing day, but a good one nonetheless. Alright, folks, catch you on the flip side.

Last but certainly not least. Skipper Gigi out.
