Beijing Huanying Ni… or in other words, Beijing welcomes you!! We welcomed all of our expected Lifeworks participants today, with one to arrive tomorrow. First off, we would like to introduce ourselves as your Lifeworks staff leaders. Hannah from Syracuse, Tashi from Tibet, Libby from New Zealand, as well as our local staff members, Thomas and Julia, who have busy preparing for our exciting program. We are all excited about getting things started! Everyone settled into their new rooms, and we then headed off to a wonderful Chinese feast where we learned our first chopsticks lesson and everyone’s special talents and hobbies. Very soon after dinner, the jet lag set in… So we’re all off to bed and ready to explore the Great Wall of China tomorrow! More photos to come, we promise.
