Location: Pacuare River

Everyone woke up at 4 a.m. to the sounds of roosters crowing, dogs barking and cats meowing. We headed out for a fun-filled day of rafting on one of the top five whitewater rivers in the world. Separated into three groups, we wore our helmets and life vests, got our paddles and started our adventure of battling against the tough currents. Son after we started off, one boat tipped over and knocked three people off. In this “disaster,” many people lost their shoes, others screamed, but all of us fortunately were alive. We finished the exciting rafting trip with bruises on our legs as well as joy in our hearts. Later, we hiked up to a waterfall and took a dip there, enjoying the beautiful nature and the clear, cool water. After this wonderful day, we were all tired, yet we really enjoyed the rushing water, and we are very excited to get wet again tomorrow.
