Today we went to volunteer at a local high school. After playing some warm-up games to get to know the students, we split up into different groups to do service work. My group was painting the theatre at the middle school. Although there were a few obstacles with cockroaches running around, accidentally painting a gecko, and general confusion, we came together to accomplish a lot. After we finished working, we went to eat lunch and then met some of the people from the school to play soccer. In the evening, we walked around and went shopping at a store where everything was made out of recycled materials. It was really fun to get to know the students from the high school and see the performance they put on to thank us after.
