Location: Anegada
Today I woke up outside on the trampoline to the beautiful sunrise. We had breakfast burritos and cereal, and then quickly headed out to shore to start our new service project. My friends and I headed to a school in Anegada and started working right away. We painted garden boxes and tires that will be used for the school’s new garden. There was a student in the primary school helping us out that later came up to me and said, “I can’t wait for my friends to see this. They’re going to be so excited!” That was one of the most heartwarming feelings: knowing that I was making a small difference. Afterwards, we made our way back to the boats and sailed to a more secluded part of the island where we went swimming. My friends and I took pictures in front of the sunset and took underwater videos with the GoPros. We finished the night with our saltwater showers and dinner which was Thanksgiving themed. We had mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberries, and unlimited gravy! Overall, today was an incredibly wholesome, happy day with a lot of thankful moments.
