Location: Forjando Alas Construction Project
The day began with an interesting breakfast consisting of anything from toast with sugar to french toast. This unique meal was prepared by the females of the group. However, it was clear that the girls put a lot of effort and time into breakfast. After that, we went to a construction center where we split up into two groups. One group planted seeds while the other cleared land to make a foundation for farmland. After hours of hard work in the heat, we had lunch and then began a hike to a waterfall. During our hike, it began raining; this rain was quite refreshing after the hot day. At the waterfall, we swam and jumped off the rocks. However, some lightning started, so we had to leave early. We went back to our hotel and had a delicious dinner consisting of spaghetti with tomato sauce, garlic bread, and salad prepared by Rob, Robyn, and Skylar.
