Location: Savannah Bay, Virgin Gorda
We woke up to go on a lovely hike called Spyglass on Norman Island. As we were hiking, the rain for the day kicked in. Despite the rain Spyglass was still the best view of the BVI. We could see the beautiful, clear ocean on every side of the island along with various other surrounding islands. After we got back to the boat, we had just enough time to go for a warm swim in the ocean. Sadly, the rain hadn’t stopped by the time we headed off to Virgin Gorda. With the largely volatile waves on the ocean, everyone sat on the bow and enjoyed getting soaked by the towering swells we passed over and ran into. Peanut Butter and Jelly was the food of choice before some of us decided to jump back into the water to escape the cold of the rain. We’re having such a great time on the boat; everyone is bonding so well and already acting like family. I look forward to the following days with my fellow shipmates and the memories we will be making. We made this rainy weather into the best rainy day ever. You can’t get much better than island hopping and laughing until your abs hurt in the BVI’s with amazing friends and great staff.
