Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Hi everyone! We started off the morning with a quick talk with Director Mike while Beth, Lindsey, and Krisz set our boat up and prepared for our first adventure. We went to an island called Norman, and that’s when our first activity began: our swim test. Having to swim five laps around a boat was a little more difficult than we thought because of the current and saltwater in our eyes. But it was all worth it in the end because we got to go snorkeling next! We saw lots of cool sea creatures, including turtles, string rays, and other tropical fish. Before we knew it, a huge cloud came through, and it started to pour as we were in the water, but we didn’t seem to mind and kept swimming at the boat. To end the day, we saw a beautiful sunset followed by a rainbow going over the island.
