Location: Bluff Bay, Beef Island
Today we woke up early and motored to Savanna Bay with Spindrift Two, and then we took a taxi to the copper mines on the Virgin Gorda for a beach cleanup. There, we explored the copper rock formations by the ocean and started to pick up trash. Afterward, we picked up about ten bags of trash along the road, feeling very accomplished. Later we went mini golfing overlooking the beautiful ocean. Back on the boat, we ate lunch and spent a couple of hours relaxing on the beach. To wash off the salt, we showered, and for dinner, Courtney and Maya made beef stroganoff. After clean up, we watched informative videos on the impact of plastic on our oceans. We fell asleep after a busy, well-spent day! Follow our blog to read more about our summer trip for high school students.
