Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
We started on the early side with a 6:30 wake-up this morning. After putting on sunscreen, filling up our water bottles and getting our sneakers out, we headed over to Spyglass Mountain for a steep and beautiful hike. On our way down, we stopped at a helicopter-landing pad and looked out over the turquoise ocean. It was a thoroughly breathtaking view. We took in the fresh air and headed back down, making our way back to the boats. After finishing breakfast, plenty of dishes needing cleaning, so we took care of these dirty dishes and set sail. Being the skipper of the day, I had the opportunity to steer the boat, which provided an amazing breeze and outlook on the ocean. When we got to our destination of Road Town, we hopped off the boat and had a chance to buy a couple of things at while the boat’s table was being fixed. When we had all finished our lunch, we set sail again and had a long, relaxing sail to Savannah Bay. For a few minutes, we were convinced that we were headed straight for the rain, but as we continued, not only did we pass it, but we also saw an adorable mini rainbow. Once we finally found a place to anchor, dinner was whipped up and, after a nice round of the “squeeze,” cleaned up and are ready to chill for the rest of the night.
