Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda

Today we slept in a little and ate a luxurious breakfast of french toast and Nutella at 9 am. We then put on bathing suits and learned about the process of turtle tagging, and watched videos on how best to do it. We then got our snorkels on and hopped into the water, where we saw big tarpon swimming around the boat and many cool fish and coral along the shoreline as we searched for turtles. One turtle was spotted, but we were unsuccessful in capturing it as they proved to be much faster swimmers than expected. We took a quick lunch break of Mac and cheese and lay out in the sun to dry out for a bit. We then cleaned up and took the dinghy over to a larger stretch of the reef, where we snorkeled for another hour before coming back to the boat to get ready for the barbecue. We all took luxurious below-deck freshwater showers in our cabins and got dressed. We then had some shore time and were able to buy some groceries on land and walk around for a while. Chris filled up our freshwater tanks. We went back to the boat to drop off our groceries and then dinghied over to land again for the barbecue. We had an assortment of barbecued meats and salad and fruit and hung out on the beach with the DJ and the rest of the ActionQuest boats. We dinghied back to the boat and went to sleep early-ish so we could wake up early the next morning or the sail to Anegada.
