Location: Anegada
Today we woke up for the dawn sail at five, although most campers fell back asleep. By eight A.M., we had reached Anegada and had oatmeal and cantaloupe for breakfast. While Riley and Chris dealt with a bathroom issue on the boat, everyone else headed towards the island to do yard work for local elderly women. After picking up all the trash and dead matter found in the yard, we got to meet Vivian, the woman who had been living in the house. She explained how hurricane Irma had destroyed most of her home. Therefore she had been living in a vacation home that had been lent to her for the last couple of years. Seeing the lasting effect of a hurricane that happened so many years ago was eye-opening. We then made our way back to the boat, where we had chicken Caesar salad and a movie night.
