Location: The Galapagos

Today was busy for us Lifeworkers. We woke up at 5 in the morning to travel 3 hours to the beautiful Floreana Island. As we took off, we had our eyes set towards the magnificent island, but most of our crew encountered varying degrees of seasickness. When we arrived, we drove about 15 minutes to the forest where we set our eyes on giant tortoises surrounded by an astounding view. For lunch, we ate at a local cuisine which was very tasty. Then, we discovered the black sand beach where some of us rested while others snorkeled. Unfortunately, it was all ready to head back to San Cristobal. Luckily, on our way back, none of the crew got sick, and we touched down in town 3 hours later. After we showered, we were honored by the Galapagos National Park for volunteering and received certificates and much more for our work. Finally, we appeased our starving stomachs with a delicious dinner and ice cream. Sadly, we are currently spending our last night in the Galapagos Islands with frowns on our faces because we will not see baby sea lions swimming with us any time soon.
