Location: Galapagos Islands
This morning, I had the honor of waking up everyone at 5:30. Most people were not too pleased to hear me knocking at the door. However, as soon as we were out on the pangas, I think everyone realized that the early wake up call was worth it. The pangas took us through a stunning mangrove forest. We saw blue footed boobies, sting rays, sea turtles, and pelicans. After getting back on board, we ate our last delicious breakfast on the boats. When we got back to the hotel, we had five hours of free time to explore the city. We used this free time to rent bikes, explore the ports, visit the shops, and then some boys even decided to get a haircut! After dinner, we picked up our laundry from the laundromat and it was mixed together. Everyone was very optimistic and flexible, however, and we got the laundry sorted quickly. We played a very loud game of mafia and then everyone went to bed to get a good night’s rest before our first day of community service!
