Location: Galapagos Islands
We woke up this morning ready to explore the unique islands in the Galapagos. In the morning, we headed out of our docked boat and were brought to the shores of one of the volcanic islands. As we walked around the rocks made from the volcanoes hundreds of years ago, we had the incredible view of the diverse animals in the Galapagos. After seeing sea lions and sea turtles in the water, we were all ready to jump into the water and discover it with our snorkeling gear. Although the water was frigid for most of us, it was an unforgettable experience. The schools of fish were abundant, and we got the chance to see some pretty awesome animals. How many people can say they swam next to turtles and penguins in the Galapagos islands? It was amazing. After we came back to our boat for lunch, we headed out again to another part of the island and walked up a mountain get a great view of the island. After great photos, we put our snorkeling gear back on to see some more of the diverse wildlife including sharks and sea lions! After an action-packed day, we came back to the boat to play an entertaining game of charades where everyone shared a laugh. There could not have been a better way to start our adventures in the Galapagos.
