Location: Whitsunday Islands

Today we started with a breakfast on the boat – after a quick cleanup we motored over to the Nara Inlet where we hiked up to some caves with interesting cave paintings from the Ngaro tribe; they looked like Lacrosse nets. Afterward, we sailed across the Whitsundays towards the Marina, and the sunshine finally decided to show itself. We anchored to a pretty bay where we had lunch and watched the world go by; we ate GRILLED CHEESE sandwiches. We then motored into the marina where we docked, and went for a photo scavenger hunt where we had to take pictures from around Airlie Beach – some included every Tim Tam we could find, and the most Aussie sign, or the longest didgeridoo. After we had opportunities to have showers, we had a chance to walk around for a little longer before coming back for dinner. We all took a walk into town to have dinner at Beaches Grill. After having a nice meal together, we played pool, watched a rugby game and listened to a live musician. I can’t wait for tomorrow’s adventures as we move farther up the coast to Townsville!
