Location: Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island
Today was mandatory FUN DAY, so we woke dancing to music while making French toast for breakfast. Then we sailed from Marina Cay to Muskmelon Bay, Guana Island. Muskmelon Bay is surrounded by huge rocks and mountains where the second largest colony of birds (brown boobies) live. As we were observing the bird habitat here, a pod of dolphins swam right up to us which was very cool. After learning about the unique wildlife, students split up into groups consisting of water-sports ( knee- boarding, wake- boarding, and water skiing), snorkeling, learning to drive the dinghy, diving, relaxing, and practicing backflips off the boat. Most of the day consisted of people hilariously falling, swimming, laughing, singing, and eating yummy food. At lunch, JB cooked everyone delicious quesadillas with tasty toppings. Then students continued to cycle through different fun activities until passing out from too much fun and heat. Before dinner, we took showers off the back of the boat to clean off all the salt and sunscreen. We are ending the day with chili and a documentary.
