Location: Great Harbor, Jost van Dyke

By the time, we had woken up this morning; the clouds were already rolling in. There was an intense rainstorm as we pulled into Great Harbor, Jost van Dyke today but as soon as we reached the dock, the sun began to peak around the clouds. We started with a pow: an awesome tour of the harbor led by the very children, we would be working with later in the day. It was truly fascinating to see how enthusiastic the kids were to share the knowledge with us. Shortly after, we all headed to the boats to sail over to an awesome little bay for some afternoon festivities. The sail was a little hectic: as if the whole process isn’t already a little stressful, add another ten small humans running around. It truly was a team effort. Everyone wanted to pitch in and have a good time. When we got to Long Bay, we separated for lunch; we reunited for snorkeling. It was remarkable to watch the group as a whole bond over something after such a short period. I know that the time I spent with these kids and the impact they had on me will always be remembered.  To be able to experience this opportunity with them was truly a blessing we all learned an immense amount of things relating to ourselves along with the ocean and our impact we have on the world. We are officially two weeks through, and I believe we have truly become better people, more successful leaders, and most importantly inspired to continue to grow. I can’t wait to see what the future brings.
