It’s day 8 in the BVI! Today we woke up around seven and had our usual cereal together in the cockpit. Merin, Elly, Reese, and I were picked up shortly after for a rotation day. We tried wakeboarding and waterskiing, but nobody was very successful except for Merin. We then went paddleboarding and got to see our first turtle tagging by the Action Quest kids! Back on the boats, the rest of Hope got to sail a Monohull. Chase and Henry steered; everyone had lots of fun storm chasing and practicing man overboard drills. Stella and Addie also steered the boat and did not crash (and they’ve been wearing lots of sunscreen😉). During lunch, Henry and Kiaan washed the same plate 13 times because they needed some work. They then went free diving, and Chase dove 55 feet while Gray hit a new PR on his deep dive! Charlie did quite the backwards dive. After tagging our first turtle and having lunch, we went looking for more turtles while Reese did her final confined water dive. Merin and I got to swim with a stingray while turtle tagging! After a long day of swimming in search of turtles and face-planting while trying to wakeboard, Merin, Elly, and I joined the rest of the boat for dinner. While doing dishes, we got to see a shark, which was SO exciting. We now have to attend a sail chat led by Goey… Goodnight to Hope family and friends, we miss you all!!!!
