We all woke up this morning to an amazing pancake breakfast made by Maeve with some emotional support from Kiaan. After the cleanup, we set sail with the wonderful Joey, who helped us all learn sailing skills. During our lesson, Henry helmed while Stella, Kiaan, and Maeve took naps, waiting for their turns. Gray, Elly, and Charlie raised the main sail while Merin tailed and Addie eased the main sheet. Soon after, Reese took the helm, and Joey led the team through a few tacks. After a lot of training, we all sat down in the cockpit and had lunch underway. We spent a lot of time cleaning our boat and covering ourselves in zinc to prepare for the boat Olympics. After we took off for the boat Olympics, we mentally prepared as a team and strategized about how to win the gold. During the first event, we got absolutely shattered in tug-of-war by Hagen Time, and had to observe as Harbor House Out won. The next event was fender rodeo, and I won by lasting the longest while sitting on a fender. The last event was a relay race where Charlie, Gray, and I took second place by barely a hair. While this was happening, Joey was spending his time fixing the girls’ heads. Then, when the Olympics were done, we made it back to the boat and took an ocean shower while Amanda made chicken Cesar salad for dinner. We had a special guest, Mike, the director, who joined us for our meal. We finished up the night with a forum and slept after a long, eventful day of fun.
