Today we had to make our way back north to a small province southeast of San Jose. It was almost 6 hours of travel from the Terraba indigenous reserve to our destination. Throughout the drive, we were able to look out at some amazing scenery and go up windy roads to get past several mountains. Hugo is an amazing driver who made the trip as safe and smooth as possible. Luckily there was plenty of room for everyone on the bus to layout and take very long naps. Midway through we started playing music from Spanish to country and even some mama mia songs which had everyone singing along. This drive was an opportunity for good conversations and road trip games. Near our hotel, we stopped at one of Costa Rica’s famous churches that played an important role in a recent holiday.
