Location: Pacuare River
Today we woke up at 5:00 a.m. and by 5:15 we were on our way to the Pacuare River to do some whitewater rafting. It was a three-hour ride, but most of us slept on the way there. After we arrived and ate breakfast, we finally began rafting. At first, the water felt freezing, but after we got used to it, it felt refreshing. After rafting for a while, we stopped at an opening that led us to a small waterfall which acted as a water slide. We then ate lunch using a flipped raft as a serving table and then headed back out on the water to hit some class three rapids. One person fell out of the boat, Pierce, but everybody got sloshed around the boat. Our final stop for the day was at a cabin in the middle of the rainforest, which held some interesting surprises! We found some ants, cicadas and a spider bigger than your hand. All in all, it was a great day, except for the bugs.
