Location: Sommer's Beach, Tortola
Hello. Today was pretty chill. We woke up at 7:00 AM, and Hayes and Violet got started on breakfast, which was scrambled eggs, muffins, and fruit. After finishing breakfast and cleaning up, we sailed out to our first destination of the day, which was Cane Garden, and we filled up with fresh water. After that, we sailed to an area with some reefs to search for turtles called Brewer’s Bay. On the way, Addison steered us, and we saw some dolphins. Before getting in the water and snorkeling, we had some lunch: Tuscan white bean soup, sautéed spinach, saltines, and cheese. At the reef, there were some turtle sightings, but we were unsuccessful in catching any to tag. We saw some cool fish, sea urchins, and moon jellies (jellyfish that don’t sting). Once we got out, we sailed to Summer’s Beach in Tortola for our second beach barbecue. For food, we had the option of a burger or a hotdog, and we could also choose pasta, potato salad, and beans. We had juice to drink also. Then, we headed back to the boat for a nighttime shower in the deep, dark ocean. BYEEEE (PS I am now a fish. After 13 days at sea, it appears I have adopted fish-like tendencies, including but not limited to stinky breath and webbed fingers, and I no longer breathe through my nose but through my gills. I do believe this is affecting the whole boat, so the blogs might slow down a bit as it is rather hard to type with fins. We hope that we can still sail the boat with our fins, but worst comes to worst we can dive in the water and swim on home. We’re all so excited for tomorrow’s activities. Lots of love, Hagan Time. <3)
