So today started nice and early. Luckily we had Willy playing sick tunes as we got on the bus. The reason why we had to be up so early was that this road we needed to drive on was only open at certain times. Today we helped in a small community at a school. We helped a teacher clean and prepared desks and chairs for children and families. That way, at home they have the opportunity to study in a comfortable environment. The thing about the people here is that they are grateful for everything they are given, and nothing is taken for granted. This is a lesson I will take home with me. Sometimes in life, I feel like because I have grown up with such a blessed life that things don’t always mean as much as they should. For example, the roof over my head or the food my parents provide for me three times a day. Today was a great day, and I am thankful for all that I’ve taken from this trip, and the lessons these people have taught me.
