Many Americans don’t realize what they are missing until they confront the reality of this world. American children are fortunate to have a better health care system and a family to care for them. In China, that is not always the case as I found out ever since I visited Little Flower. Going into this trip, I didn’t know how I would react to the kids who are really sick or even disabled. Now, I’m always looking forward to going back to Little Flower. I learned that babies will always be babies, no matter how they look like or whatever condition they have. They all have their own quirks and personality. In fact, one baby loved me the minute she saw me and she always wanted me to be by her side. That connection could be the same connection that my mother felt with me and if that is true, I can say that I understand how my mother feels whenever I’m around her. The reality behind this world is we all are individuals and our views for one person should not be any different than our views for another person. This world is diverse and everyone has their own story.
