Location: La Fortuna

This morning after a buffet-style breakfast, we headed off to a resort with hot springs and zip lines. We got all geared up, and then the adventure began! After the safety instructions and horror stories, we were all a little nervous. Before our first zip line, we made sure to tighten our helmets and fasten our leg straps extra well. With excitement filled in our heads, we zipped of off the first zip line one by one. When we realized how fun it was all the nerves went away! And just like that, we zipped through all 12 of the zip lines before ending up at a giant drop swing. Enrico was the first to attack the giant swing, followed by Neethi, Tejas, Grace, and then me (Jeez I never thought that I would do something like that). The adrenaline rushed to our heads as we dropped from the platform, some people tried to scream, but the loss of breath prevented us from screaming. Rose went last, but she took it like a champ! The moment she dropped, she threw her hands up in the air and began laughing. After this jaw-dropping and unforgettable experience, we zipped through our last zip line before heading off to lunch.

For lunch, we were each given the choice of a three-course meal, from an appetizer to a delicious dessert. After lunch, we decided to chill in the hot springs; however, just before reaching the hot springs, we were stopped by a monstrous water slide and not knowing the speed and length of the slide we all flew out, screaming like chickens! (We all know who I was talking about… TJ). After a fun time switching between boiling hot waters and spine chilling pools, we headed back to our hotel. We worked on our goodbye cards which put all of us in emo hours, but after a music-filled dinner we spent the evening watching a movie together.. family-style, and of course, Neethi and I fell asleep. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone by; it feels like it was just yesterday that we were all in the indigenous region with the Bri Bri’s.
